I returned to the cabin to prepare it for winter. All of the water bottles and the cans of food returned home with me.
Here is a short video on my arrival to the structure. Everything was safe and sound.
I spent my time there doing chores, burning brush, and resting. I burned the smallest pile and learned that the large ones will likely need to be split. It took a day and a half to burn a pile and a quarter the size of the two I stacked last time.
I also cleaned up the grounds around the cabin a bit more. It’s starting to look pretty good. I still need to move the rock piles–but that will wait until I get a small trailer.
The Golden-mantled ground squirrel put in an appearance. He was hanging out at the flock block, and came over for some peanuts when he saw me moving about.

I also took a bimble through the forest. I walked down to the second lowest corner of the property. Through a pine forest and back to the cabin. I’ve included clips from the game cams on the property.
I learned a bit about video editing and hopefully that will help in future efforts.
Thanks for stopping by,
Mark
